Tasted an incredible Michigan wine yesterday. The 2008 Unwooded Chardonnay from 45 North on the Leelanau Peninsula is light, aromatic and has a great sense of place, or, as the French say, terroir. The lemon-lime bouquet is followed by well-balanced flavors of fresh fruit and apples. The quality of Michigan wines is increasing exponentially!
