The other night we had the pleasure of tasting a bottle of 2006 Mersault by Henri Boillot.  This Chardonnay from the middle of the Cote de Beaune (in the middle, sort of, of Burgundy) is still young.
It has, like lots of wines that sound like your middle school teachers,  ”lots of potential.” The nose is complex, as you might expect, with flowers and pears, On the tongue (the palate) it’s almost juicy (for a Mersault) and tastes of lemon-lime with balanced oak on the finish.
